Defining the Premise Through Mechanics

Create an immersive game about light, shadow - that still stick to the theme: muti-dimensional.

Designed for players who enjoy atmospheric, mechanics-driven experiences

Focus on player agency through light-shadow interaction and spatial logic

Systems Research & Scripting

Mechanics inspire narrative (shadow vs. body)

Modular systems: shadow colliders, door triggers, camera modes, etc.

All interactions are feedback-based (lights, UI text, audio)

Iteration & Internal Playtests

Unity prototyping, isolated environment before implementing

Tested systems individually, before put together

Refined based on clarity, performance, and playtesting feedback

Prioritized gameplay-driven teaching over UI tutorials

Self-Reflection

At every point of my design I ask myself

Can players understand the game without texts?

Do mechanics feel fit in this world?

Is there a momentum that builds up with gameplay?
